Apply for ChemEd Bridges Support

We are currently offering travel support for the 21st Biennial Conference on Chemical Education (BCCE) in Denton, TX, August 1-5.
Click here to apply for BCCE Travel Support

Lack of financial support can be a significant barrier to conference attendance for CC faculty and ChemEd Bridges funds will reimburse partial or complete travel costs for faculty who attend National ACS meetings and participate in the programming offered. This support will reimburse meeting registration and/or travel, as appropriate.

Since we want to support as many faculty as possible, we ask applicants to use local funding to cover part of their meeting costs. You might be able to use a pending ChemEd Bridges award to convince your college to provide matching support. Support will be competitively awarded and preference will be given to faculty who:

  1. Have not recently (or ever) received NSF funding

  2. Have not recently (or ever) attended a national ACS meeting

  3. Are beginning their faculty careers

  4. The sole full-time chemistry faculty in their programs

  5. Located in rural areas with limited opportunities for regular face-to-face meetings with their peers at other institutions

We expect to make about 20 awards per year.
